Church Information

Members of the First Church of Christ, Scientist have met in this community since 1890 to worship God and help restore the practice of Christian healing as taught by Christ Jesus. We invite you to visit our services, bring your children to our Sunday School, and use our Reading Room for prayer, study, and spiritual growth. 

We are located at 103 South Street, Milford NH 03055.

Our Sunday Morning Service 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM.  Sunday services include readings from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, prayer for the congregation, and hymns of gratitude and praise. 

Our Sunday School was established in Milford in 1896.During the COVID restrictions, our Sunday School is meeting remotely at the same time as our Sunday Services. Students up to the age of 20 are eligible to attend. They are taught how to apply the teachings of the Bible to their lives. Our nursery, usually available during church services and Wednesday Evening Meetings, will again be available once our church edifice reopens. 

Wednesday Evening Service 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Our Wednesday meeting includes readings from the Bible and the textbook of Christian Science, along with experiences of turning to God, testimonies of healing, and other remarks on Christian Science from members and visitors. 

Our Thanksgiving service will be held on Thursday, November 26, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. You, your family and friends are warmly invited to join us.

Reading Room 

Our church maintains a public Reading Room at 87 Union Square. Here you may read, borrow, or purchase the Bible and the writings of Mary Baker Eddy, children’s books, CDs, and periodicals recording more than 125 years of spiritual healing. The Christian Science Monitor, an international daily newspaper founded in 1908, is available to read online. The Monitor’s weekly edition can be read here or purchased.  The Reading Room is open from 11 AM-3 PM on weekdays and 10 AM – 1 PM on Saturday. Please feel free to call the Reading Room before you come in case of unusual weather or irregular hours.
